Motion/Design is a discipline that evolves constantly, and many of us rely on tutorials to enhance our skills in the industry. However, it is rare to come across a brief that taps into the latest skills, trends, or technologies.
DeepThoughts is a project I initiated in collaboration with the animation team back in 2016 at MediaMonks. The objective was to provide our staff with a secure platform to apply and test their animation/design skills along with new technologies. DT is a bimonthly passion project that invites all MediaMonks colleagues globally to create an animation following a specific theme and color palette.
After more than 25 episodes and with the participation of over 150 global collaborators, DeepThoughts has served as a catalyst for improving the portfolios of our talented artists. This project has become a global safe sandbox where staff members can freely experiment and try out new ideas.
